      Mitsubishi CSR Education Program

Mitsubishi CSR Education Program (MEP) is one of KTB's social responsibility programs in the field of education since 2014. This CSR program aims to support the improvement of the quality of education, especially knowledge in the automotive field. This is implemented by donating vehicle units that will be used as materials or training materials to some Vocational High School (SMK) in Indonesia. The provision of assistance of this practical means is of particular concern, because PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB) understands the difficulties of the homeland education (especially SMK) in getting the vehicle in good condition to be used as a means of education. In our activities

In the first MEP activities in 2014, KTB provided 8 units of practical vehicles to 8 vocational schools located in 8 cities in Indonesia: Bekasi, Depok, Kebumen, Mojokerto, Medan, Palembang, Banjarbaru and Makassar. In 2015 MEP activities, KTB provides practical car assistance and vehicle components such as engine, transmission and differential / gardan to 7 vocational schools in Indonesia. This MEP activity is a regular activity of KTB social responsibility which is held every year.

In addition to providing educational facilities, KTB also provides automotive training to students from the vocational school. For this training training, KTB cooperates with Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors Regional Training Center (KRTC) which is a mechanical training center for Mitsubishi dealers located in 7 cities in Indonesia. The automotive training provided to students of SMK is Mitsubishi Service Technician Education Program (M-STEP) 1, where MSTEP is a compulsory education program for every Mitsubishi mechanic around the world.

The purpose of providing the M-STEP 1 training is so that students can open broader horizons again in this globalization era, especially to the vocational students who have less opportunity to gain adequate knowledge and experience ..

Through "Mitsubishi CSR Education Program", we hope this program can give a real contribution in increasing and advancing the quality of education in Indonesia.

    STARBUCKS COFFEE

Starbucks is the coffee icon people either love or love to hate. The Seattle company opened its first shop in 1971, and all these years later, the coffee giant is still brewing up addictive drinks and venti-sized controversy across the globe.

The report highlights key strategic CSR initiatives and tracks Starbucks progress in several areas including:

    Leading in ethical sourcing

Starbucks continues to be a leader in the ethical sourcing of coffee. Accomplishments include:

    * Sustainable coffee: Purchasing 65 percent of its coffee in fiscal 2007 through Coffee and Farmer Equity (C.A.F.E.) Practices, Starbucks program for sustainable coffee, with a goal of purchasing 80 percent of coffee from C.A.F.E. Practices-approved suppliers by fiscal 2013.

    * Paying higher prices: Purchasing only high-quality arabica coffee beans and paying higher prices that premium quality commands. Starbucks paid an average price of $1.43 per pound ($3.16 per kilogram) in fiscal 2007.

    * Fair Trade Certified coffee: Continuing to be the largest purchaser, roaster and distributor of Fair Trade CertifiedTM coffee in North America and amongst the largest worldwide, purchasing 20 million pounds (9 million kilograms) in fiscal 2007.

    * Conservation International (CI) collaboration: Announcing a five-year commitment to CI to address climate change by supporting farmers and communities who are preserving forests in coffee regions.

Being a leader in environmental responsibility

Starbucks outlined a bold global environmental strategy that will help achieve a meaningful reduction in the company’s environmental footprint. Starbucks is working to accomplish the following goals by 2010:

    * Renewable energy: Aspiring to have 50 percent of store energy come from certified renewable sources.

    * Green building: Incorporating green building standards into all new building construction. * Less waste: Reestablishing ceramic serveware as the global standard for customers who enjoy their beverages in Starbucks stores.

Making each Starbucks store the heart of the local neighborhood

Starbucks works to build lasting, personal relationships with customers and neighbors. The CSR Annual Report includes information and data about our ongoing efforts in the communities in which we do business:

    * Starbucks economic footprint in local communities: A study commissioned by Starbucks found that Starbucks stores contribute to local economic growth, create new jobs and add to local tax revenues. For every dollar spent at a Starbucks store, on average, $2.23 is put back into the local economy through employee wages and benefits, taxes, and payments to local vendors that provide some of its goods and services.

    * Customer attitudes: Eighty-six percent of customers surveyed responded that they were extremely or very likely to recommend Starbucks to a friend or family.

    * Community investments: Starbucks contributions to local communities in the U.S. and around the world, through in-kind and cash donations, including partner volunteerism and company-matched gifts, were valued at $18 million in fiscal 2007.

    L'Oréal Company

L'Oréal S.A. is a French cosmetics company headquartered in Clichy, Hauts-de-Seine with a registered office in Paris. It is the world's largest cosmetics company and has developed activities in the field of cosmetics, concentrating on hair colour, skin care, sun protection, make-up, perfume and hair care and active in dermatology, toxicology, tissue engineering, and biopharmaceutical research fields and is the top nanotechnology patent-holder in the United States.

    Corporate social responsibility

    1. Group-wide sustainability plan
1 billion new consumers by 2020 by producing more products with less environmental impact and helping customers make sustainable lifestyle choices. The main commitments to achieve by 2020 include: aiming for 100 percent of its products to have an environmental or social benefit; reducing the company's environmental footprint by 60 percent; and empowering consumers to make sustainable consumption choices.

    2. Sustainable development
In 2009, L'Oréal declared their intention to cut greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption and waste by 50% over the period 2005-2015 – a deduction in carbon dioxide emissions that is to be in part achieved by the use of solar panels, biogas and electricity and hot water produced from the combustion of methane gas recovered from agricultural waste. In 2012, the company declared a 37.1% deduction in C02 Emissions, a 24% deduction in water consumption and a 22% deduction in transportable waste, and was named a sector leader by Climate Counts for its practices and achievements in the management of carbon emissions. In 2014, L'Oréal made the commitment to ensure that none of its products were linked to deforestation, and to source 100% renewable raw materials by 2020. The group was included in the Corporate Knights "Global 100" list of the 100 most sustainable companies.

    3. Position on animal testing
Since the 80's, L'Oréal has invested €900 million in researching alternatives to animal testing for product safety, using methods such as reconstructed skin models, like the Episkin model at their research centers in Gerland, France, and Pudong, China. Nevertheless, this is complicated by markets such as China, where animal testing of all cosmetics for human use is mandatory. Cosmetics by brands such as The Body Shop, which refuses to do animal testing, are thus not available for sale in the Chinese market. In 2013, L'Oréal was part of a consortium calling on the EU to invest more in research on alternatives to animal testing.

    CSR from Twitter
Twitter is an online news and social networking service where users post and interact with messages, "tweets", restricted to 140 characters. Registered users can post tweets, but those who are unregistered can only read them. Users access Twitter through its website interface, SMS or a mobile device app. Twitter Inc. is based in San Francisco, California, United States, and has more than 25 offices around the world.
    kind of csr:
Twitter has done a great deal for CSR communications. The social network brings CSR leaders closer, facilitates networking, as well as partnership creation, and dealmaking. Twitter gets the news and information out about CSR conferences out to a larger audience, as well as being the absolute best source of CSR news. CSR reports are always announced on Twitter and it is used as a CSR jobs recruitment platform too
Twitter makes CSR info accessible to more people more of the time. With hundreds of CSR and Sustainability and Green tweeps tweeting their CSR news items or other CSR interest items, the world cannot fail to be more aware of many new aspects of CSR and how it is evolving as we speak blog tweet. Awareness in itself doesn’t make all that much of a difference. But awareness is a precursor to action. Just by making people aware, you change their paradigms, and new paradigms bring new motivations and new activities.
Twitter IS CSR conversations. Of course, Facebook, LinkedIn, Justmeans, DevelopmentCrossing and many more networks offer conversation possibilities. But Twitter does it quicker, faster and more directly. Limiting to 140 characters forces you to choose what you want to say very carefully.
Twitter brings CSR leaders closer . The wealth of twittering CSR celebs such as Ray Anderson of Interface (@RayCAnderson) , Jeff Swartz of Timberland ( @Timberland_Jeff), and CSR organizations such as CERES ( @ceresnews), the GRI ( @GRI_Secretariat), make the possibility of conversing with these leading lights, understanding what’s important to them, hearing their insights and following their example. This is what future CSR leaders aspire to and are inspired by. Equally, sure that the CSR-tweeting leaders are thereby exposed to quesions, feedback and reactions that that are uniquely twitterous, i.e. that they would otherwise have no access to. And this helps them build their own thoughts and positions and leadership.
Twitter stages CSR connections. People are meeting each other, creating partnerships, making deals, doing new things in the CSR space. Connections and actions that would never have been possible on slow networks such as Facebook or Linked in. Twitter is fast and furious, creating fast and furious changes in the way people are working together across country borders.
Twitter is just one big CSR conference. It is probably true to say that someone is tweeting from every single CSR conference or event, wherever it is happening in the world. So what would normally have been a closed meeting for the privilege of the privileged few is now an open newstream of insights from inspiring CSR folks for the accessibility-challenged many.
Twitter is the absolute best source of CSR news. In addition to all the CSR news sites that tweet away such as @CSRWire, @GreenEconPost @2Sustain and more, i suspect that there is no news item anywhere on CSR that doesnt get tweeted, that is, noticed by a far greater community. Whether it be a latest video from a CSR conference, or a new social flavor from Ben and Jerry’s, or a donation of $375,000 by Unilever to Feeding America, or human rights abuse in someone’s supply chain, or a way to make your holiday gift benefit the world ( @iGiveTwice) .
